The Country Music Association (CMA) created interactive mobile campaigns to keep Nashville crowds participating with artists like Sugarland, Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, Brooks & Dunn, Dierks Bentley, Trace Adkins, and Taylor Swift during the four day fest.
CMA Music Festival attendees were encouraged to send text messages at the nightly concert to be displayed on jumbo screens, to vote for a “Fan of the Day” and to enter to win seat upgrades for each night’s show. Fans were also encouraged to text to win “Meet & Greets” with country superstars Jason Aldean and Lee Ann Womack throughout the festival via signage and spots on the in-house TV monitors. Fans had other opportunities to send texts for chances to win prizes including mp3 players, VAULT citrus soda, free downloads, Wrangler jeans, and LP Field suite passes. Daily mobile updates notified fans of weather, surprise artist announcements and the chance to win additional free merchandise.
The success of CMA Fest’s mobile campaigns resulted in over 4,000 new mob members and over 72,000 in total mobile activity for the Country Music Association.
