Ace Young began writing and performing at the tender age of 12 in his hometown of Denver, CO. At 18, he managed to get his song "The Reason I Live" licensed for the New Line Cinemas movie "The Little Vampire" which came out in 1999. He subsequently turned down offers from major labels so that he could continue to develop his career and remain in control of his art and image. He continued performing throughout the years, and eventually packed up his car and moved to California with $200 to his name. Through tenacity and talent, he ended up hooking up with Brian McKnight, which was his first big break. His second was auditioning for Season 5 of American Idol. Ace finished the competition in the top 10, earned a Grammy nomination for co-writing the song "It's Not Over" with Chris Daughtry, and self-released his first single ever, "Scattered." After AI, He toured North America with the idols, worked with several charity organizations with which he's been involved all his life, and hunkered down to write his album with one of his own idols, Desmond Child. The result is "Ace Young" which will be released on June 3.
